A 1917 former cinema on University Avenue in downtown Berkeley, reborn in 2016 as a 1,400-capacity nonprofit concert hall run by the Berkeley Music Group. Its genre-hopping calendar spans punk, hip-hop, indie, and world music, and the organization runs tuition-free music-industry job training programs for young people.
