Short version: the directory is free for musicians to use by hand. It is not free to scrape, resell, or republish.
What you can do
Browse, search, and use the contact information to pitch your own music. Save lists, leave feedback, and share links to pages. This is exactly what the site is for — it's free at the door and always will be for individual musicians.
What you can't do
You may not scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-export the directory or any contact details — manually or with automated tools, scripts, headless browsers, or AI agents — nor resell, redistribute, or republish the data, in whole or in part. The compiled directory, its structure, our scoring/vetting signals, and our editorial notes are our work and are protected. Automated access beyond normal human browsing is not permitted.
Automated access & rate limits
Requests are rate-limited per IP. Detailed contact details for most listings require a free account. We use honeypots and other measures to detect bots that ignore these terms or our robots.txt; offending IPs are blocked. We may change limits or block access at any time to protect the directory.
Accuracy
Heard is a directory compiled from public sources. We work hard to keep it accurate and we cite sources, but we can't guarantee every detail — always verify before pitching. If you spot something wrong, tell usand we'll fix it. If you're listed and want a change or removal, reach out and we'll handle it.
