A 1,495-seat National Historic Landmark hall at 123 West 43rd Street in Midtown, built in 1921 by suffragists as a democratic meeting space with famously even acoustics and no obstructed seats. It has hosted over a century of landmark concerts, from bebop's public unveiling to early Bob Dylan, and today books folk, jazz, world music, and comedy.
