Shrine is a Harlem bar and world-music venue on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, founded in 2007 and named in tribute to Fela Kuti's Afrika Shrine in Lagos. Vinyl records line the walls and ceiling of the small room, where five to six bands play every night — spanning Afrobeat, jazz, funk, Latin, and hip-hop — followed by DJ sets that run into the early morning.
