Belmont Ave, where musicians Mike Reed and Josh Berman started the weekly Sunday Transmission series in January 2001 as a clubhouse for up-and-coming players. It has hosted Wadada Leo Smith, Fred Anderson, Ken Vandermark and Nels Cline, and since 2015 has added early jazz and blues, electronic explorations and forward-thinking singer-songwriters.
