A roughly 400-capacity bar and club at Queen and Spadina in downtown Toronto, open since 1947 in an 1861 building that once housed a blacksmith. A proving ground for Canadian acts from The Tragically Hip to Billy Talent, it has moved from blues and country through punk and new wave to alternative rock, and famously hosted a surprise Rolling Stones club show in 1997.
