Nonprofit traditional-music institution founded in 1968 as an 87-seat Berkeley coffeehouse, now a purpose-built 490-seat hall in the Downtown Berkeley Arts District. It remains one of the country's premier rooms for folk, bluegrass, blues, and roots music, with a Meyer Sound system and an attached education program.
