Restored 1928 movie palace on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland's Uptown district, reopened in 2009 after a $75 million renovation and now run by Another Planet Entertainment. The roughly 2,800-capacity hall books major touring rock, indie, hip-hop, and electronic acts and anchored the revival of the surrounding entertainment district.
