Flamenco club and live event venue on Sunset Boulevard, opened as El Cid on December 7, 1962 by flamenco dancers Juan Talavera and Margarita Cordova with Clark Allen, who remodeled it in the style of a 16th-century Spanish tavern. The building was earlier a jail-themed café, the Gateway Theatre and the Cabaret Concert Theatre; today it runs a Saturday Flamenco Dinner Show alongside other live events.
