A 1,200-capacity standing-room club in Washington DC's U Street Corridor, descended from the original 1980 Nightclub 9:30 at 930 F Street that anchored the city's alternative and punk scene. Since moving to its current room in 1996 — with a wheeled stage that resizes the space between roughly 500 and 1,200 — it has been a flagship stop for touring rock, indie, and electronic acts, and Rolling Stone named it one of the 10 best live venues in the US in 2018.
