Downtown Music Services is the publishing-administration and creative-services arm of Downtown Music Holdings, founded in 2007. After divesting its owned song catalog in 2021, Downtown shifted to a pure rights-services model, providing global publishing administration, royalty collection, copyright registration and technology platforms, and it operates the songwriter self-administration platform Songtrust (launched 2011). Together its services support hundreds of thousands of songwriters and millions of copyrights, with clients spanning the estates and catalogs of John Lennon & Yoko Ono and George Gershwin to contemporary artists like Peso Pluma and Tori Amos. It also entered an administration agreement with Spirit Music Group's catalog.
