ZTT Records is a landmark British label founded in 1983 by producer Trevor Horn, businesswoman Jill Sinclair and music journalist Paul Morley, taking its name from the Italian Futurist phrase 'Zang Tumb Tumb.' It defined a flamboyant, hyper-produced strand of 1980s pop with its 'crucial three' acts Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Propaganda and Art of Noise, later scoring 1990s dance success with Seal and 808 State. Universal Music acquired the label in 2017 and relaunched it, continuing to mine the catalogue with projects like Propaganda box sets into 2025.
