Young God Records is an experimental/avant-garde label founded in 1990 by Michael Gira, named after an early Swans EP. Originally created to release Swans material, it broadened in the 1990s–2000s to issue notable post-rock, freak-folk and experimental records (its catalog famously helped launch Devendra Banhart and Akron/Family). Gira has since narrowed the label back to releasing only Swans, his Angels of Light project and his own solo work, and it explicitly no longer accepts demos.
