Waveform Records is an American ambient/electronic label founded in 1994 (originally in Sedona, Arizona, and after stops on the West Coast, Austin, and San Diego, now based on Maui, Hawaii) by West Coast ambient figure DJ Forest, host of the radio show Musical Starstreams. It specializes in what it calls 'exotic electronica' — sensual, swirly, dubby, dreamy chill-out and ambient music. The label remains active with compilation series like 'Maui Chill' and recent releases including founder Forest's Ambient Visionairy Alliance project.
