The Whitehaus Family Record
Boston (Jamaica Plain) · Massachusetts · US
The Whitehaus Family Record is a DIY independent label and artist collective rooted in Jamaica Plain, Boston, formed in 2006 around the Treemausers and an eight-bedroom house at 10 Seaverns Ave that doubled as one of Boston's most prolific DIY venues. It put out 40-plus lo-fi, folk-leaning indie releases — including its 'Whitehaus Family Sampler' and 'Hoot Comp' series — by acts like The Cups, The Popsicles and the Treemausers. The physical venue closed around 2013, and the label now lives primarily through its Bandcamp.
