Take Fo' Records

New Orleans · Louisiana · US

New Orleans label established in 1992 by Earl J. Mackie and Henry F. Holden as an offshoot of their public-access programme Positive Black Talk, and a pioneer of bounce, the city's call-and-response strain of hip-hop. Its catalogue holds bounce staples including Choppa's "Choppa Style" and "Twerk Baby Twerk", and its official Instagram (16,000 followers) still posts about the label and the bounce scene. Reach is the label email and phone listed on its site.
