Taang! Records is an American independent label founded by Curtis Casella in Boston, Massachusetts in 1983 (the name is an acronym for "Teen Agers Are No Good!"). It started as a singles label documenting Boston's early hardcore and punk scene and has issued over 200 releases across hardcore, punk, Oi!, ska, power pop and indie rock, with recent forays into jazz, blues and ambient. Notable releases came from Gang Green, The Lemonheads, Negative FX, Slapshot and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones; the label is now based in San Diego (Mission Beach), California, and remains active with a mail-order operation and retail store.
