Skinny Dog Records is an independent label based in Manchester, England, founded in 1999 by John Bramwell and Peter Jobson of I Am Kloot, Mark Potter of Elbow, Scott Alexander of Indigo Jones and media lawyer David Sefton. It began as an outlet for local Manchester acts such as Indigo Jones and Cranebuilders, and was later used to release I Am Kloot material between major-label deals. The label leans toward indie and singer-songwriter fare and appears largely dormant after I Am Kloot moved to a new imprint around 2010, though its website remains online.
