Schematic Records (Schematic Music Company) is a Miami, Florida electronic label founded in 1996-1997 by Josh Kay and Romulo Del Castillo, the duo behind Phoenecia, after they split from Astralwerks. A key US outpost for IDM, glitch, electro and braindance, it debuted or championed artists such as Richard Devine, Scott Herren (Prefuse 73), Otto von Schirach, Push Button Objects and Secret Frequency Crew. The label is still active, with a steady stream of recent releases routed through its Bandcamp (its own domain schematic.net redirects there).
