Rune Grammofon is a Norwegian label founded in 1998 in Oslo by Rune Kristoffersen (formerly of Fra Lippo Lippi), devoted to experimental, jazz and improvised music largely by Norwegian artists. It is celebrated for its lovingly produced releases and distinctive artwork by designer Kim Hiorthøy, and is closely associated with acts such as Supersilent (and members Deathprod and Arve Henriksen), Motorpsycho, Elephant9, Terje Rypdal and the Hedvig Mollestad Trio. The label remains active, recently relaunching its website and store.
