Project Blowed is a long-running underground hip-hop open-mic workshop, artist collective, and independent label rooted in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Founded in December 1994 by Aceyalone and Abstract Rude as the successor to the legendary Good Life Cafe open mic, it became a proving ground for technically dense, freestyle-heavy West Coast underground rap. The collective and its Project Blowed / Good Hands releases gave a home to acts like Freestyle Fellowship, Haiku d'Etat, Busdriver, and 2Mex, and it remains an active cultural institution centered on the workshop and KAOS Network.
