Planet E Communications is an independent electronic music label founded in 1991 in Detroit, Michigan by DJ/producer Carl Craig, a key figure in Detroit techno's second wave. Created for full creative independence from the major-label system, it spans techno, deep house and experimental/jazz-leaning electronics, including a Community Projects subsidiary for broader genres. The roster has included Kevin Saunderson, Moodymann, Kenny Larkin, Recloose, Martin Buttrich and Glimpse, and the label remains active, marking its 30th anniversary in the early 2020s.
