Perlon is one of the most influential German minimal/microhouse and tech-house labels, founded in 1997 in Frankfurt (now based in Berlin) by Thomas Franzmann (Zip) and Markus Nikolai, with graphic designer Chris Rehberger shaping its iconic artwork. The label is known for a strictly physical, vinyl-and-CD-only catalog and for releasing genre-defining work by artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Baby Ford and Akufen. It remains active, with releases continuing into the mid-2020s.
