Parasol Records is an independent label in Urbana, Illinois that grew out of Parasol Mail Order, a premier US indie-pop mail-order operation launched in 1991. It specializes in guitar-driven indie pop and power pop, released mostly on CD and 7-inch vinyl, and runs sub-labels like Mud, Spur, Hidden Agenda and Galaxy Gramophone. Still operating with a physical Urbana storefront, it remains a hub for jangly, melodic independent pop.
