Mailboat Records is an independent label established in 1999 by Jimmy Buffett (Los Angeles), created after his Margaritaville imprint was absorbed into Universal. It centers on Buffett's own 'Gulf and Western'/yacht-rock catalog and a roster of veteran adult-contemporary, rock, and Americana artists. Releases and reissues span Buffett, Mac McAnally, Timothy B. Schmit, Walter Becker, Dan Fogelberg, Jake Shimabukuro, Caroline Jones, and Tesla. The label remains active, operating a robust vinyl/CD store.
