Light Records is a pioneering American gospel and contemporary Christian label founded in 1966 by arranger Ralph Carmichael as a joint venture with Texas-based Word Records. It built its reputation by modernizing the gospel sound — pairing Christian lyrics with rock-industry production — and was instrumental in launching Andrae Crouch & the Disciples, The Winans, Walter and Tramaine Hawkins, and Shirley Caesar. After changing hands several times (Entertainment One in 2010), it now operates as a catalog/active gospel imprint under MNRK Music Group. Its old standalone domain (lightrecords.com) is now a parked/for-sale domain, so it has no live independent site.
