It is known for a gritty, lo-fi East Coast boom-bap revival sound built on dusty soul samples and stark street narratives, anchored by in-house producer Daringer and flagship artist Benny the Butcher. The label rose to prominence in the late 2010s as a defining force in underground rap and remains active.
