Captured Tracks is an independent record label based in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, founded in 2008 by Mike Sniper (of the band Blank Dogs). It became a defining home for the early-2010s wave of lo-fi indie, dream pop, jangle pop, and post-punk-leaning guitar music, breaking acts like Beach Fossils and Wild Nothing and launching the careers of Mac DeMarco and DIIV. The label also runs a brick-and-mortar record shop and is known for its reissue program of cult catalog artists. It remains active today.
