Italians Do It Better

Portland Β· Oregon Β· US

Italians Do It Better is an independent electronic label founded July 20, 2006 by Johnny Jewel and Mike Simonetti, built around Jewel's own projects Glass Candy, Chromatics, Desire, Symmetry, and Mirage. It trades in lush, retro-leaning synth-pop, italo-disco, and cinematic darkwave, and broke through to wider audiences when Chromatics' "Tick of the Clock" and Desire's "Under Your Spell" appeared in the 2011 film Drive. Now run solely by Jewel, it operates out of Portland, Oregon and West Hollywood, California and remains active.
