Init Records
Minneapolis · Minnesota · US
Init Records is a DIY independent label founded in 2001 (originally in Mankato, Minnesota, later relocating to the Twin Cities) that releases uncompromising underground heavy music — screamo, post-hardcore, sludge, and experimental metal. Its catalog spans acts like The Spirit of Versailles, Jucifer, Great Falls, and Woman Is the Earth, favoring intense, boundary-pushing releases on vinyl and digital. The label is still active and openly states it does not accept demos. Its main official domain currently shows a placeholder, so Bandcamp serves as its working storefront and catalog hub.
