Hardwood Records is a Canadian independent label founded in 1994 by Toronto singer-songwriter Hayden (Paul Hayden Desser), originally created as a vehicle to put out his own folk-rock and lo-fi albums. It grew into a small home for like-minded Canadian artists, issuing records by acts such as Cuff the Duke, Basia Bulat and Lou Canon. The label remains closely tied to Hayden's own catalogue; its hardwoodrecords.com domain now points to his personal site, and a Shopify storefront handles vinyl and merch.
