Geenger Records
Zagreb · HR
Geenger Records is a Zagreb independent label going since 2010, with a motto that translates as awesome new music from the middle of nowhere. The catalogue is close to two hundred items across vinyl, CD and digital, with a roster that includes Šumski, Tight Grips, Consecration, Vodenkonj, Mučin, Brutala, Reflection and Šajzerbiterlemon, leaning noisy, punk and post-punk with detours into folk and world. They release new records and dig up regional history too, reissuing the Split industrial electro punk group Zidar Betonsky and putting out Vuk's Slavic folk album Rod in partnership with Izvorišta. Distribution is handled by partner labels across Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, Benelux, the UK, Austria and Bulgaria, so their records travel well beyond the country. Their about page says plainly they have no fixed demo policy and listen to everything sent to them, though they rarely reply.
