E-40 (Earl Stevens) is a Bay Area rapper, not a label per se, but he founded and runs Sick Wid It Records, the Vallejo, California independent hip-hop imprint launched in 1989. Sick Wid It is a landmark of the independent-rap 'hustle,' releasing E-40's own catalog plus family and Bay Area affiliates. Roster and affiliated artists include E-40, B-Legit, The Click, Suga-T, Droop-E, Turf Talk, and Nef the Pharaoh. The label remains active and has run a touring festival series around its anniversary.
