Distort Entertainment is a Toronto independent label founded in 2002 by concert promoter Greg Below to champion Canadian heavy music under the tagline 'Listen Harder.' It became a launchpad for hardcore, metalcore and post-hardcore acts including Alexisonfire, Cancer Bats, Comeback Kid and Johnny Truant, while a softer sister division, Distort Light, handled less aggressive rock. Long distributed through Fontana North, the label helped define mid-2000s Canadian heavy music, though its own website now appears broken and most current activity lives on its social channels.
