Darla Records is a long-running independent label, distributor, and online retailer based in Vista, California, founded by James Agren in 1993. It leans heavily into indie pop, indie rock, dream pop/shoegaze, ambient, and electronica, and is best known for its long-running 'Bliss Out' series (begun 1996) and 'The Little Darla Has A Treat For You' compilation series. Beyond its own releases it exclusively distributes dozens of independent labels (Elefant, Matinee, Rocket Girl, Orange Twin, and others). The operation is still active, with a Bandcamp and retail storefront.
