Crammed Discs is an independent record label founded in Brussels in 1980 by musician Marc Hollander, with a resolutely cosmopolitan outlook that blends rock, world music, pop and electronica. Across more than four decades it has put out 400-plus albums and 280-plus singles by artists from around the globe, running sub-labels such as the Made To Measure composers' series, the SSR/Language/Selector electronic imprints, and the Brazilian-focused Ziriguiboom. Long associated with acts like Tuxedomoon, Minimal Compact, Konono N°1, Taraf de Haidouks, Zap Mama and Bebel Gilberto, the label remains active with a current roster spanning experimental, electronic and global sounds.
