Blackout! Records is an independent label specializing in New York hardcore (NYHC) and hardcore punk, founded in 1988 by Bill Wilson and Jim Gibson to document NYC's hardcore scene. Its 1989 compilation 'New York Hardcore: Where The Wild Things Are' became one of the genre's most recognized comps, and the label went on to release seminal records by Killing Time, Sheer Terror, Outburst, Crown of Thornz, and Kill Your Idols. After going dormant around 2004, it reactivated in 2016 with vinyl reissues and new projects and has more recently partnered with Symphonic Distribution to revive its catalog.
