Bella Union is a respected British independent label founded in 1997 by Simon Raymonde and Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins, and now run solely by Raymonde from Brighton, England. Known for a tasteful, melodic indie sensibility, it spans indie rock, dream pop, folk, psychedelic and experimental sounds, and has a knack for breaking distinctive acts. Its roster and catalogue include Beach House, Father John Misty, John Grant, Ezra Furman, early Fleet Foxes and The Fall, among many others. The label is very much active and also runs its own vinyl shop in Brighton, with a registered office in London.
