Battle Axe Records is a Vancouver independent hip-hop label founded in 1996 by Shane Bunting (Madchild of Swollen Members). It became a cornerstone of Canadian and West Coast underground rap, distributed by Nettwerk and Caroline in its peak years. Centered on Swollen Members and Madchild's solo work, its wider roster has spanned Sweatshop Union, Moka Only, Planet Asia, Evidence and the Battle Axe Warriors compilations.
