Audio Antihero is a small independent label, self-described as 'Specialists in Commercial Suicide,' founded in 2009 in South East London and later relocated to the US (Florida/Staten Island), run by Jamie Halliday. It champions scrappy, literate indie, lo-fi, experimental and alternative acts, earning press from Pitchfork, Stereogum and the BBC despite its deliberately uncommercial ethos. Its roster has included Nosferatu D2, Benjamin Shaw, Frog, Cloud, Magana, CHUCK, Jack Hayter and Fighting Kites. The label remains active, releasing primarily via Bandcamp.
