Amulet Records is an artist-run label devoted to the art of percussion, avant-garde, and experimental music, founded around 1995-96 by percussionist-composer Billy Martin (of Medeski Martin & Wood). Based in Englewood, New Jersey, it grew out of a percussion collaboration that yielded the 1997 album Percussion Duets and has since released percussion repertoire, the Mozown series preserving vintage Bob Moses recordings, hip-hop and remix projects, and a Sound Healing series. The catalog leans deeply into experimental, jazz-adjacent, and visionary sound art rather than mainstream genres, and the label remains active.
