Afternoon Records is an independent indie-rock and indie-pop label based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 2003 by Ian Anderson (later of Gentle Brontosaurus / One for the Team) with Michael M. Sandstedt. It built a reputation as one of the Twin Cities' notable indie imprints, releasing scrappy, melodic guitar-pop and indie rock from largely Midwestern acts. Its roster has included Bad Bad Hats, One for the Team, We All Have Hooks for Hands, Mouthful of Bees, and Yellow Ostrich.
