604 Records is a fiercely independent Vancouver music company co-founded in 2001 by Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and attorney Jonathan Simkin, named after the city's area code. Part of the broader 604 Group spanning label, management, comedy and publishing, it works across pop, rock, hip-hop and alternative. Its roster has launched and housed major Canadian acts including Carly Rae Jepsen, Marianas Trench, Coleman Hell and Shawn Austin.
