Memphis organisation behind the Blues Music Awards, the International Blues Challenge and the Blues Hall of Fame, which also runs two relief funds for blues musicians. The HART Fund (Handy Artists Relief Trust) covers blues musicians and their families in financial need from health concerns - acute, chronic and preventive medical and dental care, and funeral and burial expenses - and the Blues Musician Emergency Relief Fund helps full-time blues musicians hit by a non-health crisis with rent, utilities, phone and internet.

The Blues Foundation established the HART Fund (Handy Artists Relief Trust) for Blues musicians and their families in financial need due to a broad range of health concerns. The Blues Musician Emergency Relief Fund provides much-needed financial assistance to full-time blues musicians who find themselves unable to work due to an emergency.

Requests for funding should be made by contacting The Blues Foundation directly. Upon contacting the foundation, you will be asked to complete a short application form.
