Arts organisation serving the Southeast that runs Jazz Road, a national touring and residency grants programme to spread jazz throughout the country and strengthen work opportunities and pay for jazz artists. Jazz Road Tours funds three- to six-site tours at an array of venue types, often in rural communities and other areas underserved by the genre, supporting about 50 tours a year with grants of $5,000 to $15,000 funded by the Doris Duke Foundation with support from the Mellon Foundation.
