Music Performance Trust Fund (MPTF)

Fund that grew out of an agreement between the American Federation of Musicians and the major record companies and is paid for by a royalty on recordings. It brings admission-free live music to the public in the United States and Canada and supplements musicians' income. Event sponsors apply through their local musicians' union, which submits the grant request to MPTF on their behalf.
