National nonprofit continuing The Actors Fund's services for performing arts and entertainment professionals. Its Emergency Financial Assistance helps eligible professionals facing an unexpected, critical financial need cover essential living expenses such as health care, housing and utilities, with each application managed by a social worker. One application covers its own fund and the partner funds it administers, among them the AFM Local 802 Musicians' Emergency Relief Fund and the American Guild of Musical Artists Relief Fund.

What it funds
Who can apply — in their words
Emergency Financial Assistance is available to eligible performing arts and entertainment professionals who are experiencing an unexpected, critical financial need. If you are currently able to cover your basic living expenses for the next few months, you may not be eligible at this time. If you have access to personal or community resources that can meet your needs, you may be asked to use those resources before applying. If you can work, we expect that you are actively making efforts to secure employment, both within and outside of the industry. Emergency assistance is not intended to address financial need resulting solely from a lack or reduction of work.
