Creative Australia accepts applications from practising artists and creative workers. Applications can be made by individuals, groups and organisations. If you are applying as an individual or group, you must be a practising artist or creative worker and an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident. A 'group' is defined as two or more individuals who do not form a legally constituted organisation.

Applications are taken in dated rounds, not year-round — the dates below are the ones they publish.

Contemporary Music Touring Program — This program provides up to $50,000 to support national tours by musicians performing original Australian contemporary music. Closing Soon Sep 29 2026. Arts Projects — from $5,000 to $10,000. Closing Soon Oct 13 2026. It is not necessary to regularly earn income from your practice.
