The provincial funding agency for professional artists in Nova Scotia, based in Halifax. Its Grants to Individuals programme supports professional, practising artists in all disciplines including music, in three categories: Create (up to $15,000) for developing new work, Present (up to $5,000) for the public presentation of an artist's own work, and Professional Development (up to $5,000). Applications run on two deadlines a year, with named program officers.

Who can apply — in their words
Professional artists can apply individually or two professional artists can co-apply as a duo. The definition of professional is determined by the Status of the Artist Act. Applicants must also be: Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. Residents of Nova Scotia for at least 12 months prior to the application deadline. Outside the province temporarily and not away for more than 12 months.
