Ypsigrock Festival
Castelbuono · IT
Ypsigrock is a boutique indie festival held in the medieval hill town of Castelbuono in Sicily, run by the Associazione Glenn Gould. It has built a reputation well beyond Italy on the strength of curation rather than scale, collecting praise from Mogwai, The Times, Gigwise and CLASH, and it deliberately sits off the main European festival circuit. Its Apply to Play page sets out three separate routes, and they do not work the same way. Artists can propose themselves for a future edition through the contact form, which the festival says is free to use, though it warns it cannot reply to everyone given the volume. Bands and agents with a specific performance request are told to email the booking directors named on the contacts page instead. Separately it runs a free talent competition, Avanti il Prossimo, open to any genre and entered only through an online application; entries for the 2026 running opened on 9 April 2026 and are now closed. Tracks sent must be openly streamable, since the festival will not accept password protected links. Contact is a general address.
